The Z-AT Series sits at the top of Zapco's competition amplifier line — an evolution of the successful AP platform developed for competitors pursuing the highest levels of sound quality performance.

The AP Series established itself as one of Zapco's most successful sound quality amplifier platforms, earning recognition in competition vehicles around the world. Rather than replacing that success, the Z-AT Series builds upon it. Drawing from years of competition experience, Zapco refined an already proven platform with upgraded components, increased power, enhanced voltage regulation, more precise bias adjustment, and expanded system flexibility. The result is an amplifier designed for competitors who are always looking for the next improvement—because great products don't stand still.

Dedicated Mono Class AB Design

The Z-200.1 AT delivers 200 watts at 4 ohms and 350 watts at 2 ohms from a dedicated single-channel Class AB design.

The mono configuration gives the system designer the ability to dedicate one amplifier to one driver or one system section. In an active front stage, that can mean a dedicated amplifier for a tweeter, midrange, or other individual driver without sharing an amplifier's output stage with another channel.

The Z-AT platform also uses socket-mounted operational amplifiers, allowing them to be replaced without soldering. For experienced builders, this provides additional flexibility when configuring the amplifier's signal stage.

More Headroom for Demanding Systems

The additional power provides increased headroom, giving the amplifier greater reserve for demanding DSP-based systems and complex musical content. That additional margin allows the amplifier to operate further from its maximum output, helping maintain consistent performance when the system demands it most.

System Application

The Z-200.1 AT is particularly well suited to active systems where individual drivers receive their own dedicated amplifier channel. Its 200-watt 4-ohm output makes it a practical match for tweeters, midranges, or other front-stage drivers that benefit from dedicated amplification.

It can also be used as a dedicated amplifier for a single subwoofer in a sound quality-oriented system.

The Z-AT and AP amplifiers share the same chassis dimensions, allowing both families to be incorporated into the same installation. The Z-AT is distinguished by its titanium-finished top plate.

HF Audio Perspective

The Z-200.1 AT gives the system designer something the traditional two-channel amplifier cannot: one amplifier channel dedicated to one role.

For an active competition system, that flexibility can be valuable. The amplifier can be assigned to a specific driver and matched to the power requirements of that part of the system rather than forcing two drivers to share an amplifier simply because the amplifier has two channels.

The right amplifier is the one that fits the job. The Z-200.1 AT gives a builder another very capable option when that job calls for dedicated Class AB amplification.
