Two Steps Above.
The Z-AT Series sits at the top of Zapco's competition amplifier line — an evolution of the successful AP platform developed for competitors pursuing the highest levels of sound quality performance.
The AP Series established itself as one of Zapco's most successful sound quality amplifier platforms, earning recognition in competition vehicles around the world. Rather than replacing that success, the Z-AT Series builds upon it. Drawing from years of competition experience, Zapco refined an already proven platform with upgraded components, increased power, enhanced voltage regulation, more precise bias adjustment, and expanded system flexibility. The result is an amplifier designed for competitors who are always looking for the next improvement—because great products don't stand still.
Two Channels of Class AB Power
The Z-200.2 AT produces 200 watts per channel at 4 ohms and 350 watts per channel at 2 ohms.
Its two-channel configuration provides a straightforward way to dedicate one channel to each speaker in a stereo pair while retaining the Class AB architecture and Z-AT platform refinements.
For active front stages, that can make the Z-200.2 AT a practical choice for a stereo pair of tweeters, midranges, or other drivers where two channels of dedicated amplification are appropriate.
System Flexibility
The Z-200.2 AT includes the same Z-AT refinements found throughout the series, including upgraded power-supply components, enhanced voltage regulation, refined bias adjustment, and socket-mounted operational amplifiers.
The socketed OP-amp design allows experienced builders to replace the devices without soldering, providing additional flexibility in the signal stage.
System Application
The Z-200.2 AT works particularly well when two channels are exactly what the system requires.
It can power a stereo pair of tweeters, midranges, or midbass drivers in an active system, or provide two channels of amplification for a conventional stereo component system.
Because the Z-AT chassis shares its dimensions with the AP Series, the two amplifier families can be combined within the same installation.
HF Audio Perspective
Not every active system needs a separate amplifier for every driver.
The Z-200.2 AT provides two channels of dedicated Class AB amplification in a single chassis, making it a practical choice when a stereo pair of drivers can share the same amplifier platform without compromising the system design.
The goal is not to use more amplifiers simply because more amplifiers are available. The goal is to use the right amplifier configuration for the system.
