The LC2i PRO is a 2-channel active line output converter that turns a factory radio's speaker-level signal into clean preamp outputs for aftermarket amplifiers. It builds on AudioControl's LC2i and adds load selection for compatibility with current factory systems.

Key Design Features

The speaker-level inputs handle up to 40V RMS, with a selectable 20Ω, 60Ω or 20kΩ input load to satisfy factory amplifiers that monitor for a connected speaker. Two output pairs are provided, a main pair and a bass pair, as fixed and variable outputs with discrete level controls, ±12dB of output gain and up to 9.5V RMS.

AudioControl's patented AccuBASS processing compensates for factory bass roll-off. The included ACR-1 dash remote controls the subwoofer level.

System Application

The most common application is adding a subwoofer amplifier to a factory system, with the bass outputs feeding the sub amplifier and the ACR-1 controlling its level. The main outputs can feed a second amplifier for the front speakers at the same time. Turn-on can come from a 12V remote input, GTO signal sensing or audio sensing, and the 12V remote output can trigger the amplifiers.

Installation Considerations

Current draw is 200mA with a recommended 1A fuse. A ground isolation switch is provided for resolving ground-loop noise. The ACR-1, a 20-foot phone cable, and speaker and power connectors are included.
