The ESB 8000 Series 8.PB bookshelf enclosures were created for one purpose: allowing ESB's flagship 8000 Series component speakers to perform in a properly matched acoustic environment outside the vehicle.

Designed specifically for the ESB 8.165 midwoofer and 8.028 / 8.028S tweeters, the 8.PB transforms the 8000 Series two-way component system into a premium bookshelf reference speaker suitable for listening rooms, demonstration environments, and near-field applications.

Using the technical parameters of the ESB 8.165 woofer, ESB designed the enclosure volume and bass reflex system to complement the driver's performance characteristics, eliminating the guesswork commonly associated with aftermarket speaker cabinets.

Premium Cabinet Construction

The 8.PB cabinet is manufactured from 18mm (0.71 inch) high-density board material selected for strength, stability, and acoustic performance.

Internal damping material is carefully applied to control unwanted reflections while maintaining the intended acoustic characteristics of the enclosure.

The exterior features a premium piano black lacquer finish, creating a refined appearance suitable for home audio environments, showrooms, and reference listening spaces.

Bass Reflex Performance

The 8.PB uses a bottom-mounted bass reflex port designed specifically for the ESB 8000 Series driver platform.

The port assembly includes a diffusion guide structure to improve airflow characteristics and support low-frequency performance while maintaining the accuracy expected from the 8000 Series.

Professional Connection Options

Designed for both enthusiasts and professionals, the ESB 8.PB includes pure copper connection terminals supporting multiple system configurations.

The enclosure can be used with:

• Passive systems using the ESB 8.6K2 CX crossover

• Active systems with external DSP tuning

This flexibility allows the 8000 Series bookshelf system to be configured based on the listener's goals and equipment.
