The ESB 1.6K2X is the complete 2-way speaker system from ESB's 1000 Series — a 6.5" woofer, 1" silk dome neodymium tweeter, and 12dB/octave passive crossover network in one package. The most affordable way to access genuine ESB Italian engineering in a complete component set.
The 1000 Series uses pressed paper woofer cones with rubber surrounds for damping and transversal stability, and neodymium magnets in the tweeter for high efficiency and compact size. These are not the cheapest materials available — they are materials ESB chose for performance, applied at an entry price point.
The right choice for the listener ready to step up from factory speakers to Italian-engineered sound without a large budget commitment. Pair with a Harmony 2-channel amplifier for added headroom. The 1000 Series is the beginning of the ESB journey; the 2000 and 3000 Series show you where it goes.
