The ESB 5.6K3X is the separately-mounted 3-way variant of the 5000 Series — all three drivers individually positioned for maximum imaging control, with the 5.6K3 CX crossover included. The system bundles the 5.165 6.5" mid-woofer, the 5.050 2" dome midrange, and the 5.028 1.1" tweeter. Three separately mounted drivers allow full time alignment control — the midrange and tweeter can each be positioned for optimal path-length correction to the listening position. This is the approach preferred by dedicated SQ builders who want maximum imaging precision from their front stage. Install the 5.165 in the door, the 5.050 in the kick panel or door upper section, the 5.028 in the A-pillar. Connect through the 5.6K3 CX crossover. Upgrade to active operation via Zapco DSP for the best the 5000 Series can deliver.
