The 8.165 6.5" mid-woofer handles everything below the UMA's crossover point. The UMA configuration simplifies installation — one mid-high unit to mount instead of two separate drivers — while delivering a phase and time relationship between the midrange and tweeter that is factory-determined rather than dependent on installer skill and measuring equipment.
