ESB 4.75 — 75mm Midrange Driver

The 4.75 is the midrange driver at the heart of the 4000 Series three-way front stage. It handles the range where vocals and most instruments live, in a format compact enough for the pillar and dash locations where midrange drivers image best. It is designed for builders committing to a three-way stage with real amplification behind it. The problem it solves is midrange strain — vocals that harden and congest when the system is asked to work.

Key Design Features

The N52 neodymium motor provides improved cone control at the lower end of the driver's range, where excursion increases — keeping vocal reproduction natural and dimensional as levels rise rather than hardening. The wide 140Hz–12kHz operating window gives the system designer flexibility in both crossover points. And the 75mm format fits pillar and dash positions that larger midrange drivers require modification for — which matters, because where the midrange sits is half of what it delivers.

Active three-way systems with a dedicated midrange channel and DSP crossover control — the configuration this driver is built for. Passive three-way operation through the 4.6K3 CX. Suited to SQ front stages and daily drivers with committed three-way builds. Mounts in pillar, A-pillar, dash, or kick panel locations, aimed at the listening position. Pairs with the 4.165 woofer and 4.28 tweeter.
