The ESB 3000 Series 3.WB8 is an 8-inch active subwoofer — the larger companion to the 3.WB6, using a bigger driver and a higher output amplifier while maintaining the same compact, self-contained enclosure design.
The 3.WB8 is designed for installations where space is limited but more low-frequency output is needed than the 6.5-inch 3.WB6 can provide.
The Integrated System
The 3.WB8 uses a low-impedance 8-inch driver paired with a built-in high-current Class D amplifier rated at 300W RMS / 600W peak. The amplifier is integrated into the enclosure, requiring no separate amplifier installation.
Built-in controls include variable gain, variable low-pass filter from 50 to 200 Hz, variable bass boost from 0 to 12 dB, and 0° to 180° phase adjustment. Auto power-on supports remote trigger, DC offset detection, and signal sensing. A wired remote control is included.
The enclosure depth is 15 cm — the same compact profile as the 3.WB6.
Designed for Real-World Installation
The 3.WB8 suits any installation where the 3.WB6 would fit but more output is required. The larger 8-inch driver produces more low-frequency output at the same amplifier power level, making it the better choice when the listening environment or system requirements call for more bass presence.
Installation requirements are the same as the 3.WB6: power connection, ground, and signal input.

The choice between the 3.WB6 and 3.WB8 is primarily one of output requirements and available mounting space.
The 3.WB8 produces more output from a larger driver in the same compact enclosure format. For systems that need meaningful low-frequency performance from an active subwoofer installation, the additional output capability of the 8-inch driver is worth considering. Both units address the same fundamental challenge: delivering useful bass performance in vehicles where a traditional subwoofer installation is not practical.
