ESB 4.6K3 CX — Three-Way Passive Crossover Network

The matched passive crossover for the 4000 Series three-way front stage. It manages the frequency division between the 4.165 woofer, the 4.75 or 4.100 midrange, and the 4.28 tweeter — designed for this driver combination specifically, not adapted from a universal network.

Key Design Features

Component values, filter slopes, and level balancing were developed for the impedance, sensitivity, and response characteristics of the 4000 Series driver set. The crossover decides what each driver is asked to do — a network matched to its drivers preserves the integration the system was designed around.

System Application

Passive three-way operation from a single amplifier channel per side — the most direct path to a working 4000 Series front stage. Builders moving to active operation later can set the network aside and use its crossover points as a proven starting reference for DSP configuration. Mounts in the door, under the dash, or in a custom panel, secured away from heat, with speaker wiring gauged for the amplifier power the system runs. It is included in the complete 4000 Series three-way kits and available separately for component-level builds and replacement.
