Wāvtech linkRC — Remote Level Controller

The linkRC is a remote level controller for Wāvtech's link series amplifiers, providing a dash- or panel-mounted 0dB to -30dB volume adjustment for an amplifier's remote-level-ready channel via an RJ45 cable connection.

Key Design Features

The controller connects to an amplifier's Remote Level Control jack using the included 5-meter flat RJ45 cable; a standard ethernet cable can also be used in its place. The housing is a removable two-piece design with break-away mounting tabs, allowing it to be flush-mounted into a panel once the tabs are removed, or left with the tabs intact for a surface-mount installation.

System Application

The linkRC is compatible with any Wāvtech link series amplifier documenting Remote Level Control readiness — the mono, 4-channel, 5-channel, and 8-channel amplifiers in the lineup each reference the linkRC by name for adjusting the level of their subwoofer or bassFREQ-assigned output from 0dB (max) to -30dB (min).

Installation Considerations

Once the break-away tabs are removed, the remaining housing is sized for a custom flush-mount installation; dimensions excluding the knob and tabs are 1.1" x 1.5" x 1.8" (28 x 38 x 45mm). The 5-meter cable length should be accounted for when planning the run between the mounting location and the amplifier.
